This is an original painting of a fishing harbour inspired mainly by visits to Rye Harbour on the East Sussex/Kent coast. I've kept the colours simple to convey the freshness of sea, breeze and country air, the sense of space you feel on the coast. In the background you can see little fishing boats on their way out for a day's trawl.
This painting has been done using acrylics with a painting knife on canvas. The canvas measures 14x11" with a depth of 1.5" (or 36x28cm with a depth of 4cm) and is signed by the artist (myself) E.King. The sides are black and the pre-stretched canvas is ready to hang as it is.
