This painting is of our neighbouring woodlands here in Earlswood, Surrey. In Spring the floor is carpeted with bluebells which always makes for a gorgeous subject matter for painting and this year they have been blooming extra early with all the fine weather we've been fortunate enough to have.
This painting is done with acrylics using a painting knife and paintbrush on canvas treated with black gesso and measures 12x16". The sides of the (ready-to-hang) canvas are painted also so that framing is not essential.
